The blocks have been laid out in a manner respecting the topography and the existing trees at site and have been located so that privacy is achieved in all units. Details have been sensitively handled. The lightness and transparency particularly of the defining block is very appealing. The overall layout of the project respects and utilizes the topography and the existing trees on site. The location of the block is sparse and dispersed and connected by paved tracks without ravaging the natural environment. The space disposition of building generates privacy as well as integrates land form and foliage with the lived experience. The language of building is simple and well detailed to generate a lightness and transparency. This experience peaks in the dining area which projects into the mountain landscape in a series of covered and open decks. The jury found the project worthy of a Silver Leaf Award.
